Documentation - <controlpanel>

A controlpanel element describes the control panel that will be used for slideshow navigation. The <controlpanel> element is optional - if it is omitted, no control panel will be displayed. The slideshow's <controlpanel> defines several <button>'s used to display controls for playing/pausing the slideshow, moving to the next or previous slide, or skipping to a particular numbered slide. Note that the order in which the <button>'s are defined is the order (from left to right) in which they will appear.

Parameters

  • x (optional)* - The x location of the control panel (from the upper-right hand corner) (Negative values and values greater than the width of the screen are allowed)
  • y (optional)* - The y location of the control panel (from the upper-right hand corner) (Negative values and values greater than the height of the screen are allowed)
  • spacing (optional) - The spacing (in pixels) between the buttons of the control panel (Set to zero (0) for no spacing)
  • usecustomimages (optional) - By default, the user can override one particular button by providing <buttonimage> elements for the <button>. However, for convenience, by setting usecustomimages="true", the user can instruct Featurific to load all images from the default location in './images/'. This allows all images to be loaded instead of extensively modifying the XML, by only adding usecustomimages="true" to the XML. Note that this attribute is only available in the OpenLaszlo-based version of Featurific. In the AS3 port of Featurific (aka 'Featurific Slim'), this behavior occurs by default - to use custom images (with the default names), just modify the images in the './images/' directory.
  • simplebuttons (optional) - When set to "true", instructs Featurific to render buttons as basic boxes instead of using the default images. This helps save on bandwidth when bandwidth usage is limited. Note that while this setting is enabled (set to 'true'), the presence of a <buttonimage> element will override the <simplebuttons> attribute. Also note that this attribute is only available in the AS3 port of Featurific (aka 'Featurific Slim').

Examples:

<controlpanel>
<button type="play"/>
<button type="pause"/>
</controlpanel>

<button type="pause"/>
<button type="next"/>
<button type="numbers"/>
</controlpanel>
