Hey. Thank you for the really great plugin.. its Just what I needed !!

I own an Arabic speaking RTL WP 2.8.5

I installed the plugin good, and selected a rtl justified template after I checked the RTL box.

Now it seems to be working good, but there is a bug that ruins the Arabic text in the plugin window

What happens, is that if the title or the excerpt is longer than one line, the breaking into the next line removes the first word of the first line and puts it as the first word in the second line. If the second line contains two words , then the first two words of the first line are pushed to the beginning of the second line. To illustrate that in english, it might look like this:

This is the beginning

As u can see, "This is the beginning" is at the beginning of the second line, though it is really the beginning of the first line, but because the length of the line cant exceed the number of the characters at the point of the word "text" , a new line was begun and it started with the first word of the first line, instead of the last word in the first line.

Another ex:

fox is a web browser by Mozilla
Fire

And this happens too !! if the characters reached the limit, the words might even be cut into two, and the first part sent to the second line.

How can I solve this, and is there a way I can decrease the size of the displayed title, and maybe omitt the other info like date and category from being displayed in the plugins window ?

I also noticed that if the title includes both Arbic and English text, and the setting is set to RTL, the english text is mirrored, so instead of "lions eat zebras" , the titles becomes "zebras eat lions"

Thanks for your message. The RTL functionality (as you've noticed ) is definitely still in the beta stage. The biggest hinderance to furthering its development is our inability to read any RTL languages! A few things you could do to help out:

1. Post the URL of your site.
2. Provide some example text that is incorrect, and how it should be displayed correctly. What would be the most helpful would be if you took a screenshot of the incorrect screen, and then re-arranged the words (via Paint or Photoshop) so that they are displayed correctly. This would give me a known 'correct' arrangement of text to work towards.

Sorry not to activate the plugin at this time, as its not functioning enough good to keep it displayed for the visitors.

notice the english mirroring in the 3rd example.


P.S : I checked the subscribe by email box when I was still a guest, but never recieved a new reply notification. Seems it doesnt work with guests

The first two examples show the cutting of a one word into two. In Arabic, the shape of the letters might change when they are connected, unlike English where letters remain the same.

In the 3rd ex, the cutting occurs inside the word Firefox (فايرفوكس). This is too considred a cutting of one word, as there is no space between the word's letters (it is one word, just like "firefox" . Yet notice how they get.


btw, I also asked how can I remove the tags of the date, the author, category , etc, from displaying in the box, and how is it possible to change the font type and size.

It would seem that the Akismet anti-spam system is a bit too liberal in its bans! I've lifted the ban, so your account should be active and accessible again.

Thank you. But I guess you agree that I cant purchase something that is not *yet* useful to me. Unless the Arabic issue if fixed, the plugin is useless to me; and I honestly dont like spending my money on something which isnt useful to me. However, I will truelly deeply consider purchasing a copy of the Pro plugin, when it is fixed, despite the fact that it is in my opinion very expensive ($49); as bloggers who need it are most likely amatuers, meaning they dont use their blogs for commercial purposes and are in most cases people just blogging from home about stuff they like, and a $49 for a plugin (though indeed magnificent) is a sum to think much before going for.

Anyway thank you, I will be waiting for the plugin, but I wish you tell me approximately how long will it take you get it finished. I can then localize the plugin into Arabic and dist ribute it in the Arab blogging communities, increasing its popularity and the possibilities of people getting the pro version

I can even localize the documentation and faq of the pro versiion to make it easier for making the correct - profitable choice (rely on me in that !)
