RE: WordpressMU
Okay, deleted, removed options including cache tables, searched to be sure there was no reference to featurific anywhere, installed new, did not change any defaults
added to 1st blog, all is well added to 2nd blog, does not appear at all created new (3rd) blog and activated featurific ONLY (no other plugins), did not add any posts, uses posts from 1st blog! PS There are no global, site-wide plugins. So, I didn't seem to fix anything and now don't even have it at all on the 2nd blog. Is that a step backwards? ![]() 3rd blog... http://videoserver.msdpt.k12.in.us/wordpressmu/randy/ Added 1 post, with picture to 3rd blog. No change. |

RE: WordpressMU
Hey Randy,
Ok, let's take a step back and try something even more basic. Please try installing WP MU from scratch, and then installing Featurific (follow the steps I mentioned in my previous post). Note that I'm not recommending you throw out all of your work on the existing WP MU installation. Rather, make a new directory in your web root (perhaps wpMuTest), and install WP MU there. Make sure to create a new database and corresponding user for this test installation. (Also, as you follow the steps, note that I did not enable Featurific in the main blog. This could be the source of some of the problems (although I did later enable Featurific on the main blog in my WP MU test instance and it seems to work fine)) Let me know what you find! -Rich |

RE: WordpressMU
P.S. Trying out this test WP MU installation will be telling because if it *does* work for you, then there's some sort of configuration inconsistency that's causing the problem. And if it *doesn't* work, then perhaps we're using different versions of WP MU - one being compatible and the other not - or something of the sort.

RE: WordpressMU
Well this is interesting...
Installed new WPMU http://videoserver.msdpt.k12.in.us/wpmu/ Using only the main blog, No other plugins installed. No widgets setup. Installed and activated Featurific. Edited the initial post. Then I added a second blog http://videoserver.msdpt.k12.in.us/wpmu/randy/ Activated Featurific. It has the main blog's post. |

RE: WordpressMU
Hi Randy!
Yes, this is very odd indeed! A few thoughts: 1) What version of WP MU are you using? I believe I used 2.9.2 (If not, it was 2.9.1) 2) I noticed that you mentioned that you edited the initial post. When I performed my test, I made zero changes to the main blog (not even selecting a theme). I immediately created the sub blogs and installed Featurific. This shouldn't be a big deal, but it is a difference between our test scenarios. Thanks, -Rich |

RE: WordpressMU
Version 2.9.2–en_US running on OpenSUSE 11.2
For what it is worth, I did install Featurific before changing the theme. However, changing it back to default doesn't solve the problem. I'm going to try a complete new install changing nothing (though I am pretty sure that is what I did) and see if the 3rd time is the charm.

RE: WordpressMU
Very strange indeed. Yes, please try a complete new install without making any changes to the main blog (not even adding Featurific to it). If it doesn't work, then either 1) we're overlooking something VERY simple, or 2) something very strange is going on!
![]() Good luck; looking forward to hearing what you find! -Rich |

http://videoserver.msdpt.k12.in.us/wpmu/randy http://videoserver.msdpt.k12.in.us/wpmu/mmi/ Three blogs, one post each (editing title of initially created post) So far, so good. Now to add Featurific... Went to each post and activated. ALL have main blog first post. It would be comical if it wasn't so frustrating. |

RE: WordpressMU
Hmmm...Randy, can you give me access to the test WP MU installation (just create a new admin account) so I can poke around and see if I notice anything amiss?
You're right - this is truly aggravating! -Rich |
