Local Server . Theme's won't change
Great Product!

On a localhost and installed perfectly. It's in the body of a "non-home-page". Worked perfectly changing themes until I went to place my own images in the "torn paper" theme as replacement br's.

Theme is cached and stuck here and will not change to others. Uninstall / ReInstall. Same outcome. Control panel functions for theme choices, but no updates.

How we clean house?

RE: Local Server . Theme's won't change
Hi Spitz,

Hmm, this is very strange. Can you tell me which version of Featurific for Wordpress you're using, and which version of Featurific? Also, can you post the URL of your site? That way I can check it out directly.

Do the other Featurific options (e.g. number of screens/duration/etc) take effect, or are those not stored either? What about if you change the number of screens *and* the theme at the same time? My guess is that neither of the updated options will be saved. Can you change to any other theme at all?

One workaround you might try would be to save your custom theme in a different folder, and revert the themes available to the default ones. If this works, then there's likely an error in the theme that is causing the problem.

Hope to hear from you soon!
-Rich

RE: Local Server . Theme's won't change
Rich,

Thank you so kindly for the update and help!

1- Removed all plug files (featurific)
2- Replaced with fresh "manual" install of file structure
3- I'm on a local host
4- Using one featurific screen on blog page that is NOT the "home" page.
5- Insertion of:

<?php
//Code automatically inserted by Featurific for Wordpress plugin
//If we're generating the home page (remove this line to make Featurific appear on all pages)...
if(function_exists('insert_featurific')) //If the Featurific plugin is activated...
insert_featurific(); //Insert the HTML code to embed Featurific
?>

To call the install to the "blog" page (wordpress).

Worked fine and perfect 'O Mundo changing templates on install. It won't let go of the "torn paper" images out of cache now no matter what you do. It must have a liking for old smelly paper.

When I change stock featurific templates the size of the frames ARE (YES) resizing to what the template NEW choice should be. The pictures (.png's) are not changing and stuck on "torn paper" theme. They are cached and won't let go it seems.

Again, thank you!
Hey Rich,

A couple more for you.

Local host database shows wp_featurific_image_cache as empty.

and:

id mediumint(9) No None auto_increment
screen_num tinyint(4) No None
image_num tinyint(4) No None
image longblob BINARY No None
mimetype varchar(50) utf8_unicode_ci Yes NULL
Check All / Uncheck All With selected:

for structure.

Best,
Daniel

RE: Local Server . Theme's won't change
Hi Spitz,

Thanks for the detailed report. Are you using the dynamic or static storage location for the data.xml? Perhaps try switching it up to see if this resolves the issue.

-Rich

P.S. I have seen this issue before while developing locally as well. (However, I'm not sure how I resolved the issue.) Perhaps it has something to do with being installed on localhost. What happens if you access the site via your system's local IP? (Not 127.0.0.1, but rather something like 192.168.1.103 - use the ipconfig (windows) or ifconfig (mac/linux) to track this down)
