Show custom posts as well as most recent posts

I would like to set this so that it shows specific posts always and also show the most recent posts from a specific category. I need it to show a few specific posts but I also want it to show new events as I post them without knocking out the specific posts.

Is this possible?

Hi busterh!

As you've probably already realized, there's no way to do this in the current version of Featurific. We do understand the value of doing so, however, and are considering adding the feature for the future. It would take a relatively large amount of effort to implement, though, so we're still debating.

In the meantime, one possible workaround is to simply adjust the dates of the 'specific posts' you want to stay visible. You could change the post dates to a date far in the future (e.g. Jan 1, 2015), so that when you select recent posts, they always show up.
